‘Why are we so afraid to discuss mental health in our society?’ – Teebillz


Teebillz had an episode last year where he almost jumped off the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. Having tasted first-hand the effects of mental illness , he is speaking up about it .

Today, he posted a picture of a quote by Kerry Washington about mental health, where she said ‘ my brain and my heart are really important to me ’ , and she concluded by asking if she could see a dentist to keep her teeth healthy, then why couldn’ t she see a shrink?

Teebillz goes on to make that quote more reasonable to a Nigerian by saying if we can seek help for malaria or fever , we shouldn ’ t be ashamed of our psychological and emotional condition .
