Nigerians will have the last laugh ―Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured that the country will overcome its myriad of problems and Nigerians will eventually laugh and celebrate at last.
He made this known in his message at the South-West zonal meeting of the National Committee of Buhari Support Groups (NCBSG), held in Lagos, at the weekend.

Colombia seizes 6.1 tonne cocaine haul

Bogota: Colombian authorities seized 6.1 tonnes of cocaine in the northern port city of Barranquilla as it was about to be shipped to Spain in a cargo of scrap metal, the government said Sunday.
The seizure Friday night was the third largest in Colombian history and had a street value of at 200 million euros (213 million dollars), officials said.

Federer downs Nadal to win Miami Open

Miami: Roger Federer defeated long-standing rival Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-4 to win the Miami Open on Sunday and continue his outstanding start to the year.

Since returning from his six month injury lay-off, the 35-year-old Federer has also won the Australian Open and Indian Wells and he heads into the clay season as, once again, the dominant presence on the ATP Tour.
Federer has beaten Nadal in all of those events this year and has now won his last four meetings between the pair.

Dog dies fighting suicide bomber at Maiduguri wedding party

A dog died saving dozens of people at a wedding party in Maiduguri after it attacked a suicide bomber, an official said.
The dog stopped the teenage suicide bomber from detonating her explosives in the crowd.
The dog, according to the police, belonged to a resident of the neighbourhood where the wedding took place.
